Pregnancy Health Conference
Throughout the morning, current and clinically relevant topics were addressed, such as the need for infection screening during pregnancy, the impact of cytomegalovirus (CMV) on both gestation and the newborn, and the risks posed by chorioamnionitis, an infection that can threaten the lives of both mother and baby.
Additionally, recent advances were presented on the potential for early detection of breast cancer through components of breast milk, in a presentation by oncologist Cristina Saura.
