HLA La Vega Hospital (Murcia) has taken a further step in its commitment to preventive and personalised medicine with the creation of its new Medical Genetics and Genetic Counselling Unit, a specialist service focused on the early diagnosis, prevention and monitoring of hereditary diseases. The new unit enables genetic risks to be identified even before symptoms appear and offers support and advice to both those affected and their families.
New units for more specialised care
Meanwhile, HLA Los Naranjos (Huelva) has launched a new Paediatric and Adult Neuropsychology Unit in partnership with K-Neuro. The new service is designed as a comprehensive resource that supports patients from the initial screening and diagnosis right through to the development of personalised treatment plans. The unit treats children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates neuropsychology, psychology and speech therapy.
