HLA Universitario Moncloa develops an intelligent ICU based on AI
The aim of this ecosystem is to improve the patient’s stay in the ICU.
The HLA Universitario Moncloa hospital (Madrid) is promoting, in collaboration with Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM), an artificial intelligence project applied to intensive care medicine. Within the framework of the project Artificial intelligence and safety in the critical patient, the HLA Universitario Moncloa hospital has deployed its own infrastructure in the ICU for collecting data related to the patient’s progress.
The use of AI to improve patient wellbeing
The aim of this ecosystem is to improve the patient’s stay in the ICU, being able to predict different types of events related to their progress. “The ICU generates an enormous amount of information every minute. Our challenge is to turn that data into useful, interpretable and actionable signals”, explain sources at HLA Universitario Moncloa.
