A good reception of the internal vaccination campaign amongst SCIAS personnel
Healthcare and support staff take part extensively to strengthen protection against flu and COVID.
The Hospital de Barcelona has completed the annual internal vaccination campaign. The participation of the personnel, both care-givers and the other services, has been particularly high.
Care and prevention
For several weeks, ‘flu and COVID vaccines have been administered, aimed at strengthening the protection both of the personnel and of the patients and family members who visit the centre. The initiative, promoted from the management, has been very well received.
At the Hospital de Barcelona they highlight the fact that maintaining high vaccination rates amongst the personnel is a key step to minimise the impact of respiratory diseases during the months with the highest viral circulation. Additionally, it contributes to preserving the continuity of the care and to strengthening the protection of the patients admitted to the centre or with fragile health conditions
