ASISA launches civil liability insurance for pets
The new policy offers veterinary care coverage and the option to add other coverages such as theft, accidental death, and euthanasia expenses.
ASISA has begun commercialising ASISA Mascotas RC, a civil liability insurance policy for dogs and cats that includes coverage specifically tailored to potentially dangerous dog breeds.
With this policy, the insurer expands its range of policies to meet the needs of dog and cat owners and, in the case of dogs, to help comply with the requirements of animal welfare legislation.
New pet insurance coverage
Until now, ASISA Mascotas, the veterinary assistance insurance, included civil liability as an additional guarantee. The new pet insurance makes it the main guarantee, which is complemented by a veterinary assistance guarantee with significant discounts and the possibility of adding optional coverage for theft, accidental death and expenses for euthanasia and disposal of remains.
Civil liability insurance for dogs and cats is a protection system for pet owners that covers the costs of any damage or problems caused by the animal. In the case of ASISA Mascotas RC, the policyholder can choose up to three different compensation amounts (€150,000, €200,000 or €300,000) when taking out the policy.
