Skincare routines for skin with acne and/or rosacea
It is essential to care for it properly and adapt our routines to each skin’s type and needs. What care should be taken into account for skin with acne or rosacea?
Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and it acts as a barrier that protects us against bacteria, temperature changes and other external factors. Tailoring your routine to your skin type is essential, addressing individual problems or tendencies. That is the case for skin with acne and/or rosacea, which must be treated with specific products.
Routines for skins with acne
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions. It is an inflammatory process that involves the sebaceous glands. Although it usually appears during adolescence, it is also common in adults. There are different types and degrees of acne, but for acne-prone skin, following the right routine can make all the difference.
Should lesions such as blackheads or pimples occur, it is very important to avoid handling them, as they can become infected. In case of severe acne, oral treatments may be necessary and should be prescribed by a dermatologist.
Routines for skin with rosacea
Rosacea is an inflammatory disease that causes facial redness as well as papules and pustules. There are different degrees of rosacea depending on the intensity of the symptoms. According to the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV), rosacea ranks among the dermatological conditions that have the most severe impact on the quality of life and self-esteem of patients.
Rosacea may be triggered by a number of factors, such as using products that are irritating or too aggressive for our skin, exposure to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold), stress, alcohol intake and spicy foods, certain drugs, etc. It is therefore important to avoid exposure to such triggers.
If you have any doubts or have noticed unusual changes in your skin, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
